A few students have asked what I've actually been watching outside of tutoring hours, so I'm turning it into a running list — TV first, since that's where most of my year went. Movies and manga are coming in a follow-up post.

No spoilers below. Just enough to make you curious.

Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel · Legal Drama / Vigilante

By day, he argues in front of a judge. By night, he's the reason some cases never make it to court. Matt Murdock spent years trying to leave that second life behind — until an enemy he thought was gone for good doesn't just come back, he gets elected. Once the man running the city and the man Daredevil's been fighting turn out to be the same person, the line between justice and the law stops being a line at all. I won't tell you how far it goes. It goes further than you'd expect.

Person of Interest

Techno-Thriller

Here's the premise: a machine that can predict violence before it happens. Not maybe-violence — specific, someone's-about-to-die violence. The catch is it only ever gives you a number, never a name, never a reason, and never whether that person is about to be the victim or the one pulling the trigger. Two strangers decide to find out anyway. What starts as quietly saving people the system doesn't care about turns into something with far bigger stakes than either of them realised they'd signed up for.

Movies and manga picks are coming in a follow-up post — I want to actually finish narrowing down my list before I write it up properly.
